Summary:

Ecologist are against of public administration because they don't give enough importance to the pollution. For the first time in Spain have been detected a very high levels of benzopyrene in the air. Tropospheric ozone is growing up owing to climate changes.

Benzopyrene: is  a carcinogenic hydrocarbon

Tropospheric: The lowest atmospheric layer, about 18 Kilometres, in which air temperature decreases normally with height at about 6,5ºC PER km.

Critical appraisal:

I found this text very interesting because it is a reality that the society aren't conscious. Pollution in the air mainly  comes from traffic, power plants and  industrial activity. The problem of the concentration of ozone is much more serious because it's more widespread and endangers the health of people. Health authorities have warned that there have been nearly 20,000 premature deaths in Spain due to air pollution which overtake the parameters set by the WHO. Another problem is the fuel production  by combustion of organic matter.
