Ticking on Climate Change Prevention
The United
Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's new
synthesis report adds urgency to the need to cut additional greenhouse gas
pollution

I got this article from a web
page called Scientific American, here it is the link:
This
article talks about the climate change,
so I would classify it in: Earth and Environment
Summary
The Earth is getting more and more polluted, and we have got the
necessity of doing something to stop it.
The United Nations Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change has done a summary of all the
problems we have to solve, but this one has been the same since 2007. What has
actually changed is pollution in Earth.
Glossary
-Greenhouse gases: those ones
that case global warming. àgasos que

-Drought: lack of water àsequera.
-Crop failures à mala collita.
-Budget: an estimate of expected
expenses. To plan or deal with amounts. àpressupost, predicciód’algunacosa future

Critical review
I firmly think that climate change is
a big problem, and our efforts should be harder to try to eradicate it. We have
always heard about recycling and using public transport, but I consider that
society still has not noticed that we have got a problem, and this problem has
been here for a long time.
Also, I think the fact that the idea
of taking care of the environment hasn’t changed since 2007 is a little bit
worrying. What does this mean? Aren’t there more solutions for our planet? Of
course there are, but we have to work harder and faster, because as the
solutions don’t come to our minds, pollution keeps rising and turning dangerous
for us. I say dangerous and I mean it, because if we keep going that way the
sea levels will raise and places like Madagascar or the north and south poles
will end up like submarine islands.
I consider that people are not
conscious of that risk and a proof of this is that we have polluted more than a
half of the established budget. That budget was supposed to indicate the amount
of pollution we could produce, but we are polluting without caring, and this
cannot be this way.
In conclusion, I hope that the
meeting in Lima will result productive and we will come up with some solutions
to solve that huge problem, to save our lifes.
