OF MARIE CURIE
Name: Marie Sklodowska
Date of birth: 7 of November of 1867 in Warsaw,
Poland.
Early life: Her parents were both teachers, and she was the
youngest of five children. When she was a child, Curie took after her father (a
math and physics instructor).
Major discovery: She discovered that
the rays remained constant, no matter the condition or form of the uranium.
Curie coined the Word radioactivity to describe the phenomena.
Date of death: 4 of July of 1934from leukaemia , caused by
exposure to high-energy radiation form her reseasch.
Because is important?
Marie Curie became the first woman to
win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win the award in two different fields
(physics and chemistry).
